Following the success of the short course on ‘Transforming Nutrition’ which has been run at the Institute of Development Studies in Brighton for the last 3 years, a similar course will now be run in Delhi, India from 3-7 November 2014. Lawrence Haddad blogs about this years nutrition summer school at IDS. There were about 30 participants from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas including national policymakers, programme managers, UN agencies, donors and researchers –all learning together. He notes that the focus of the participants has changed since the course was first run in 2012. Back then it was about getting someone to pay attention to nutrition. Now it is about delivering under their gaze.
Transforming Nutrition Ideas, Policy and Outcomes 2013
A five day summer course at the Institute of Development Studies, UK will take participants through new ways of thinking about undernutrition and what to do about it. This course is designed for both for policy makers and practitioners and online applications are now welcome.
