Year: 2013 Type: Book Chapter Language: English

The first of three chapters within this book which analyse the research findings from the Pathways Feminist Activists in Global Policy Organisations project, using the device of five fictionalised characters to preserve the anonymity of participants.

Each chapter finds the characters meeting in a different venue - this first time in Ratna's flat in New York. The theme of the conversation is feminist identity: whether they are open about their feminism and how others in the wider movement may not see them as such.
