Visual media can communicate complex messages about gender mainstreaming in a very direct, immediate way, with a focus on the human face of the issues.
The World Food Programme Senegal office developed a powerful film synthesising key messages that had emerged from the PAL for Gender Mainstreaming process, accompanied by footage of focus group discussions and interviews in local communities. This has been shared at the national and regional level.
