
The 40th international WEDC Conference takes place from the to the 24-28th July 2017 in Loughborough, UK.
The CLTS Knowledge Hub will be there, offering a variety of activities, including:
- Sunday 23rd July 9.30-17.00 at Burleigh Court, CLTS Sharing and Learning Workshop: The CLTS Knowledge Hub (IDS, UK) invites those who will be attending the WEDC conference and anyone interested in CLTS to join us for this opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss ideas, challenges, innovations etc and to network. The workshop is free of charge and will include coffee breaks and lunch. Further details will be sent to registered participants nearer the time. - Monday 24th July, evening side session, time to be confirmed, Revisiting Subsidies: Supporting the poorest in CLTS: Recent studies have highlighted issues of sustainability and inclusion that raise questions about the strong position against subsidies associated with CLTS. This side event will share workshop discussions, highlighting innovations, challenges and opportunities of integrating support for the poorest with CLTS programming at scale from a recent workshop convened by the CLTS Knowledge Hub and UNICEF. It will be a highly interactive event, asking participants to share their own experiences, knowledge and views.
