Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) play a fundamental role in improving nutritional outcomes. A successful global effort to tackle undernutrition must include WASH. This Briefing Note summarises existing evidence to demonstrate the fundamental role WASH plays in improving nutritional outcomes. It offers recommendations on how WASH can and should be utilised in global efforts to tackle undernutrition.
