These notes are based on experience convening, facilitating and following up on rural sanitation workshops in India in the past few years. The most recent has been in Bhopal in August 2015. There it was in support of the Government’s policy in rural sanitation of Rapid Action Learning and Sharing. The focus was on identifying and sharing innovations. The notes have a wider relevance and may be of interest and use to convenors and facilitators of workshops in the sector and elsewhere, especially where the aim is to collect and disseminate innovative experience. Comments and contributions to add to the notes are invited and should be sent to clts@ids.ac.uk
