The participants of the Regional CLTS Sharing and Learning Workshop that took place in Lusaka from the 15th to the 19th November 2010 produced the following Declaration on the occasion of World Toilet Day 2010.

The declaration contains statements and recommendations on a number of issues key to the success and scale up with quality of CLTS. The hope is that this document can be given wide circulation. Its content is based on a wide range of experiences in different countries and relevant to the policies, programmes and projects of Governments, international agencies and NGOs.
