IDS held a conference on CLTS from the 16th- to 18th December 2008. This event formed part of the DFID-funded project Going to Scale: The Potential of Community-led Total Sanitation in which IDS has been engaged in over the last few years.
In conjunction with SACOSAN III, a One Day Sharing and Learning Workshop on CLTS was held at the India Habitat Centre in Delhi on Monday the 17th November 2008.
On the occasion of Sanitation and Hygiene Week (15-22 March 2008) and World Water Day (22 March 2008), IDS reports back from AfricaSan 2008, highlighting the potential of CLTS to improve the health and wellbeing of the 300 million Africans still lackin
IDS used the occasion of World Toilet Day, celebrated every year on the 19th November, as an opportunity to highlight the work being done with CLTS in different countries and draw attention to its potential to help improve the health and wellbeing of millions of people across the world.
