The CLTS Knowledge Hub website is no longer being updated you can access timely, relevant and action-orientated sanitation and hygiene resources and information at the new site.
Papers and other forms of participation are invited for the ESRC STEPS Centre conference on 22-23 March 2011, at the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex University.
From the 29th November to the 3rd of December 2010, IDS, supported by UNICEF, Plan International, WaterAid and WSSCC, held a Regional Sharing and Learning Workshop on CLTS. More than 50 participants from francophone countries in Africa gathered in Bamako in order to share experiences, learn from each other, network, energise and strengthen the approach in the region. A similar workshop was also held in Zambia for anglophone African countries from the 15th to 19th November 2010.
From the 15th to the 19th of November 2010, IDS, supported by UNICEF, Plan International, WaterAid and WSSCC, held a Regional Sharing and Learning Workshop on CLTS. Around 45 participants from 12 anglophone countries in Africa gathered in Lusaka in order to share experiences, learn from each other, network, energise and strengthen the approach in the region. A similar workshop was also held in Mali for francophone African countries from the 29th November to the 3rd December 2010.

This Working Paper by Synne Movik and Lyla Mehta seeks to map out and understand the social, technological and ecological dynamics of CLTS implementation in order to better appreciate the long-term sustainability issues of CLTS and realise its full potential for improving people’s lives and well-being.

The 2nd LatinoSan Conference will be taking place in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil from the 14th-18th March 2010.
IDS is holding a One Day Introductory workshop on CLTS (see flyer below) as well as a lunchtime session on CLTS at the event, so if you are attending LatinoSan, please join us for one or both. Both events are taking place at the Rafain Palace Hotel (the main conference venue). Almost 60 participants from eight countries in the South East Asia and Pacific region gathered between the 9th and the 13th November 2009 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to talk about Community-led Total Sanitation.
The19th November 2009 is World Toilet Day, a day to raise awareness of the global sanitation situation and to celebrate something many of us take for granted: a toilet.
