The theme for International Women’s Day 2015 is ‘making it happen’. Over five years of research, Pathways of Women's Empowerment has uncovered a multitude of stories from women who have made it happen, through women's empowerment. Our exciting new learning platform transforms Pathways research into resources which can be used for teaching from secondary school to university levels as well as in workshop and training situations.
In celebration of International Women's Day 2015 and to mark the 59th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and the 20th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, we have developed a special activity pack. You can download the special free activity pack via drop box 'Making it Happen for Women's Empowerment - IWD Activity Pack'. Visit the Learning Platform for free resources that enhance the teaching and learning experience on issues of women's empowerment.
As we look to the future during this month at CSW with the post-2015 sustainable development goals, our aim with the learning platform is to inspire and influence the next generation of policy makers, activists and academics around issues of gender equality.
