The 2015 session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 9-20 March. Interactions will be there to cover the event which this year will review progress made in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, 20 years after it was adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women in 1995. The session will also address opportunities for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women in the post-2015 development agenda.
This useful guide from the NGO CSW Forum explains the history of the Commission, how events work and what to expect.
We are following how the key Interactions themes are being addressed at CSW59
Sexual and gender-based violence at CSW
