This mixed-methods research aims to bring together key development concerns related to sustainable livelihoods, social vulnerability, and poverty to build an alternative account of 'insecurity and crime' in African cities.
This project conducts a randomized controlled trial of two health care policies in a peri-urban region of Bamako, Mali: the provision of free primary care, and regular visits from health workers who teach mothers good practices.

The project aimed to review the process for teachers and school managers to identify high ability children attending schools in slums of Dar es Salaam, in Tanzania and create an accurate/cost-efficient programme to enrich and accelerate learning.
