17/09/2020 - 15:00 to 16:30
The Impact Initiative invites you to participate in a virtual learning journey which will explore the opportunities and challenges of engaging research with multiple stakeholders and with global policy processes in relation to disability and inclusive education.

We will be reflecting on the Impact Initiative’s work with multiple stakeholders concerned with disability and inclusive education, and hope the event will create a space for the sharing of other experiences of working with evidence informed policy discussions.

Professor Nidhi Singal, Professor of Disability and Inclusive Education at the Faculty of Education University of Cambridge, will facilitate a panel of researchers, policy actors and practitioners who will share their experiences of engaging research with policy and practice. Then participants will be invited to discuss the benefits of multiple stakeholder engagement with research and evidence.

Panellists will include:
  • Charlotte V. McClain-Nhlapo, Global Disability Advisor of the World Bank Group
  • Nafisa Baboo, Senior Director Inclusive Education for Light for the World
  • Tom Shakespeare, Co-Director of Programme for Evidence to inform Disability Action
This invite only event is part of a series of explorations of different pathways to impact facilitated by the Impact Initiative.

Discussions and learning are being incorporated into a new publication on evidence informed policy and practice to be published in early 2021.
