The Impact Initiative will be hosting the satellite session: 'Making Universal Health Coverage a reality by 2030: evidence of what works' at the Fifth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2018) on 8 October at 9am. 

The overarching theme of the symposium is Advancing Health Systems for All in the SDG Era - and will take place between 8-12 October.

This panel session is open to individuals who have registered to attend the HSR2018 Symposium.

To achieve ‘Health for All’ by 2030 the global health community needs workable, and scalable solutions based on research and evidence. Leading health researchers who have been investigating the role of community health workers and private sector innovation will share policy ideas that could help make universal health coverage a reality.

The session will be chaired by:

  • Nasreen Jessani – Co-Chair of Health Systems Global Thematic Working Group, Translating Evidence to Action and faculty at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Centre for Evidence Based Health Care at Stellenbosch University
